Welcome to the Ending Violence Against Children Learning Hub (EVAC Hub)
Every year, at least one billion children experience violence – that’s half of the world’s children. The Joint Learning Initiative on Faith & Local Communities (JLI) Ending Violence Against Children Learning Hub (EVAC Hub) provides a unique platform for a global network of knowledge from academics, policymakers, and practitioners that are growing the evidence-base of effective faith-based partnerships to prevent and end violence against children.
The EVAC Hub seeks to increase the understanding of better practices for faith engagement in ending violence against children. We invite you to become a member of this hub to connect and collaborate with colleagues around the world. Hub membership is free. Join at the link or please contact: [email protected].
We hope that members will be seekers and gatherers of knowledge to help inform and improve policy and practice between the faith, humanitarian, and development communities. Please share organizational learning through the JLI Resource Library.

Scoping Study Published!
The scoping study focused on two areas:
Firstly, the unique contributions of faith communities to ending as well as contributing to violence against children. Secondly, the role of faith actors in influencing and supporting the wider community and formal and informal child protection systems.
The scoping study had three components: an extensive literature review, a case study submission process for hub members to share practice-based models, and a consultation stage with experts through interviews. The study covered all regions and faiths.
